Every year in early October thousands of people from all over the world flock to Albuquerque to see hundreds of hot air balloons take to the sky. In celebration of this spectacular event, we create two sizes of balloon-shaped iced sugar cookies. The delicious poured fondant and royal icing give the balloon cookies the color we have come so accustomed to seeing in the sky this time of year.
We also create colorful hot air balloon cakes in any flavor you like.
The top tier is a light chocolate fondant with polka dots, the middle tier is covered in medium pink fondant with diamonds, and the bottom tier is chocolate fondant with stripes. A delicious chocolate cupcake is perched on top, covered in fudge icing and dipped in pink sprinkles.
